Two Great Egypt Videos for Geography or World History

There are tons of videos out there about ancient Egypt. It’s a lot to sort through. The two videos below are my favorite!

The first video is a video explaining what Howard Carter found when he discovered King Tut’s tomb. The great thing about this video is that the footage was originally in black and white but has been colorized! Seeing the King Tut sarcophagi and death mask in color is beautiful!

This next video answers one of the biggest questions my students have about Egypt: What’s inside the pyramids? The video is a 360° tour of the inside of the Great Pyramid. It’s a Youtube video BUT you can use your mouse to move the perspective around to get an immersive experience. My students really liked it.

I’ve used these videos in both my Geography and World History classes. The students are always fascinated. Side note: If you are using these in World History, the next video is a really useful introduction to Ancient Egyptian culture. (Ok, so I guess I gave you three videos instead of two like I mentioned in the post title.)
